Hydrotherapy services

Pooch-friendly pool ...

How safe is it?

Our canine hydrotherapy centre at Doggy Paddles Canine Country Retreat, is the only one of its kind on the Isle of Wight and offers great health benefits to dogs of all types and ages.

Our centre features a pool which is sunk into the ground for easy access via a ramp.  This allows the dogs to enter at their own pace and pleasure.  We use the safest active oxygen system treated water heated to 28 degrees to achieve maximum benefits.

During the session we accompany in the pool with the dog to ensure safety and comfort at all times.

Our staff are specially trained and include an experienced veterinary nurse.

What are the benefits?

Hydrotherapy helps ...

And for fun too ...

Many breeds of dog struggle with joint-related pain and degenerative conditions.

Hydrotherapy offers an exercise alternative which may be far more comfortable and effective for your dog than walking or running.

 -  Degenerative conditions

 -  Recovery from surgery

 -  Arthritis, stiffness and old age

 -  Obesity, spine deterioration

 -  Back, joint, muscle

    problems,  broken bones

 -  Hip and elbow dysplasia

 -  Strokes, behavioural issues

    Neurological rehabilitation

As well as offering benefits to rehabilitation and fitness, hydrotherapy can also be great fun for you your dog!

And because your dog really focuses in the water, it's a great way to help with some behavioural problems too!

Isle of Wight's only canine hydrotherapy centre

Every hydrotherapy programme is individually designed with your dog's needs in mind. It's a great way to burn off excess energy with a total body workout too.
